These drives support up to 180 TB/yr workload rate, with the workload rate defined as the amount of user data transferred to or from the hard drive, annualized (TB transferred × (8760 / recorded power-on hours)). The workload rate will vary depending on your hardware and software components and configurations.

Catering to the needs of robust surveillance systems, WD Purple drives support up to 16 bays, with 1TB through 2TB supporting up to eight bays and 3TB and above supporting up to 16 bays.
